Why do I get disconnected every time I check my email in Outlook Express?
This is a common error. Outlook Express has a setting that will disconnect from the internet once it is done sending or receiving email.
- To disable the Auto-Disconnect feature in Outlook Express
- click on Tools, then Options
- Click on Connections tab at the top.
- Uncheck the box labeled Hang Up after sending and receiving.
- Click Apply and OK at the bottom.
